What we collect, and what we do with it

The short version
Right now StatusFix is a waiting list. If you join it we hold your email address and use it to send you one message when the product opens. We don't sell anything to anyone, and there are no advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you give it to us, along with the date and the exact wording of the consent you agreed to.
- Website addresses you submit once scanning goes live. We fetch the pages at that address the way a search engine would, and store the results so we can compare them next month.
- Basic request logs kept by our hosting provider - IP address, browser type, page requested, timestamp - used for security and to keep the site up.
We don't ask for payment card details on this website. We don't collect special category data, and we don't knowingly collect anything from children.
Why we're allowed to hold it
For the waiting list and any marketing email: because you ticked a consent box, and you can withdraw that at any time. For scan results and reports: because you asked us to perform the service. For request logs: our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website.
Who else touches it
- Cloudflare - hosting and delivery of this site.
- GoHighLevel - the CRM where contact records and consent notes are stored.
- Google Workspace - email delivery and correspondence.
Each processes data on our instructions only. We don't sell, rent or trade personal information, and we don't share scan results with anyone other than the person who asked for them.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Your hosting provider may set a strictly necessary cookie for security and load balancing, which can't be switched off without breaking the site.
How long we keep it
Waiting-list records are kept until you ask us to delete them, or after three years of no contact, whichever comes first. Once scanning is live, scan history is kept while you're a customer and for twelve months afterwards so you can ask for the full set.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or stop emailing you. Email hello@statusfix.com and we'll action it within thirty days. Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately.
If you're in Texas, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act gives you these rights directly, including the right to appeal a refusal. If you're in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you the same rights plus the right to complain to your supervisory authority.
Scanning other people's websites
Our scanner reads publicly available pages only. It respects robots directives, identifies itself, and doesn't attempt to reach anything behind a login. If you own a site and want it excluded, email us and we'll block it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we'll update the date at the top, and email anyone on the list before it takes effect.
